Dyker Heights Christmas Lights

Every holiday season, a six-block area of Brooklyn's Dyker Heights neighborhood is transformed into a dazzling display of Christmas lights. From 83rd Street to 86th Street between 11th Avenue and 13th Avenue, you'll see everything from inflatable Santas to motorized light shows. Prime viewing time is between 7PM and 9PM daily, through Christmas.

Catch A Ride On A Vintage Subway Car This Weekend

Every holiday season, the MTA brings a few vintage subway cars out of retirement and back into service. Sunday between 10AM and 5PM you can ride one up 6th Avenue between Queens Plaza and the Second Avenue subway stations. The vintage trains will hit all of the stops along the M line every 90 minutes or so -- including Herald Square, Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center.

Ugly Sweater Party In The Financial District

Swing by Clinton Hall (90 Washington Avenue) in the Financial District tonight for the bar's annual Ugly Sweater Party. There will be ten Christmas ales on tap, an eggnog toast, and prizes for the best sweaters. The event is free to attend, but drinks are pay as you go.
