Dyker Heights Christmas Lights

Every holiday season, a six-block area of Brooklyn's Dyker Heights neighborhood is transformed into a dazzling display of Christmas lights. From 83rd Street to 86th Street between 11th Avenue and 13th Avenue, you'll see everything from inflatable Santas to motorized light shows. Prime viewing time is between 7PM and 9PM daily, through Christmas.

Catch A Ride On A Vintage Subway Car This Weekend

Every holiday season, the MTA brings a few vintage subway cars out of retirement and back into service. Sunday between 10AM and 5PM you can ride one up 6th Avenue between Queens Plaza and the Second Avenue subway stations. The vintage trains will hit all of the stops along the M line every 90 minutes or so -- including Herald Square, Bryant Park and Rockefeller Center.

Starting Saturday, American Express is partnering with Baked By Melissa to bring you free Candy Cane Crunch cupcakes and creamy hot cocoa. Two American Express holiday trucks will be making their way around NYC and this is where you can catch them:

Saturday:
12PM -  Meatpacking District & Midtown/5th Ave
3PM. - Chelsea/Highline & Central Park South/Columbus Circle

Sunday:
12PM - Washington Square Park/Greenwich & Cobble Hill
3PM - West Village & Park Slope

Monday:

3PM - Midtown/5th Ave/Rock Center & Soho

Free Wine And Cupcakes Today

You know Cupcake Vineyards? You may have had their wine before. Well today, the winery is sending out a cupcake truck stocked with free cupcakes and paired wine tastings. The truck will be near Bryant Park from 11AM-2PM and at Yorkshire Wine And Spirits (1646 1st Avenue) from 4PM-7PM.

Emoji Art Show This Weekend :)

Now through Sunday there is an Emoji Art Show at the Eyebeam Art & Technology Center (540 West 21st Street). The event will follow the spread of emoji through pop culture with an art exhibition and pop-up market.

Downton Abbey Mobile Tea & Biscuit Truck

All week, a mobile Downton Abbey truck has been roaming the streets of New York, passing out free tea and biscuits to fans along with the chance to take photos against the backdrop of Highclere Castle. Today the truck will be stationed at 50th Street between 6th Avenue and 7th Avenue from 11AM-7PM.

Between now and December 31st, when you bring a new, unwrapped toy to dropoff locations at The Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo or Queens Zoo, you'll receive one free general admission ticket to be used at The Bronx Zoo. 14th Annual Winter's Eve At Lincoln Square

Tonight starting at 5PM, swing by the 14th Annual Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square. The festivities kick off with a neighborhood tree lighting ceremony and features free entertainment, food tastings, in-store activities and shopping specials.

The celebration begins at Dante Park at Broadway and 63rd Street and continues along Broadway to 68th Street.
