Swing by Madison Square Park where Buckyball -- a 30-foot tall light installation featuring 16 million colors and an infinite number of light sequences -- is on display through February 1st.

Swing by Sycamore Bar (1118 Cortelyou Road) in Brooklyn for its popular Flight Night featuring beers from Allagash Brewery. Five ounce flights of four beers will be available from 3PM-10PM.

Le Parker Meridien's Annual Gingerbread Extravaganza

Inside the atrium at Le Parker Meridien (119 West 56th Street) you'll find the hotel's annual gingerbread house display. It'll be on view through January 3rd.

Dyker Heights Christmas Lights

Every holiday season, a six-block area of Brooklyn's Dyker Heights neighborhood is transformed into a dazzling display of Christmas lights. From 83rd Street to 86th Street between 11th Avenue and 13th Avenue, you'll see everything from inflatable Santas to motorized light shows. Prime viewing time is between 7PM and 9PM daily, through Christmas.

The Muppets Christmas Event This Sunday

Calling all Muppet fans! Swing by Union Hall (702 Union Street) this Sunday for The Muppet Vault -- a monthly series featuring classic, rare, and unreleased videos from the Muppets, Sesame Street, and the works of Jim Henson. Dozens of moments from Muppets' Christmas specials and movies will be revisited -- sing-alongs and giveaways included! Admission is $8.

Free Admission At Neue Galerie This Evening

Normally admission to Neue Galerie (1048 5th Avenue) is $20. But on the first Friday of every month the museum opens its doors for free. Swing by tonight from 6PM - 8PM and check out some great twentieth-century German and Austrian art.

Free Wine Tastings Downtown

As per The New York Times' Dining Calendar, tonight from 5PM-8PM there will be free wine tastings with food and music at a number of stores which suffered from Hurricane Sandy:

California Wine Merchants, 15 Bridge Street (Broad Street)
Downtown Cellars, 55 Liberty Street (Nassau Street)
Frankly Wines, 66 West Broadway (Warren Street)
Royal Wine Merchants, 13 South William Street (Broad Street)
Rosetta Wines, 40 Exchange Place (William Street).

The shops will have boxes for donations of relief items.

Washington Square Park: Christmas Tree, Lights & Caroling

Didn't want to deal with the crowds at Rockefeller Center last week? Head over to Washington Square Park tonight at 6PM for the annual tree lighting ceremony, songs, and even an appearance by Santa himself.

Tomorrow evening, Murray's Cheese (254 Bleecker Street) will open its doors from 9PM-10:30PM  to raise money for Hurricane Sandy. All proceeds go to the Food Bank's emergency Sandy fund. A $10 ticket will get you a taste of new craft beers and ciders, holiday gifts, and seasonal cheeses + 20% off ll holiday purchases.
