Free Tours Of Freshkills Park -- The Largest Park Developed In NYC In 100 Years

Did you know that in Staten Island, what was formerly the world’s largest landfill is being into a green space three times the size of Central Park? At 2,200 acres, Freshkills Park will be the largest park developed in New York City in more than 100 years!

All summer long, they'll be holding free tours of the park's progress. Although this weekend's kayaking tour is full, there are still spots available for bus tours on July 23rd. Grab them now and get a first hand look at one of New York's most important development projects.
