As another successful year comes to an end, we waned to take a moment to thank you for all of your love and support throughout all of 2010. It was great meeting many of you at our two year anniversary party in August... and you can be sure we'll be putting on more great events in the coming year. Prime viewing time is between 7PM and 9PM daily, through Christmas.

Holiday Department Store Windows Displays

Christmas is coming! And even if you like to avoid crowds as much as we do... we're willing to suck it up for an afternoon to check out some holiday window displays.

If you want to hit up the four most popular displays, The New York Times suggests the following route:

If you want to do the four major window displays in one swoop, the best path is to walk from Macy’s (West 34th Street and Broadway) to Lord & Taylor (424 Fifth Avenue, at East 38th Street), up to Saks Fifth Avenue (611 Fifth Avenue, at East 49th Street), then farther over to Bloomingdale’s (1000 Third Avenue, at East 59th Street) — or the reverse route.

Beerfest At Roberta's

This afternoon, Roberta's (261 Moore Street) in Bushwick hosts a beerfest. According to Grub Street,

staffers from local establishments will be facing off a “nerds-style beer-drinking event" that will include beer pong, flip-cup, keg stands, and a tricycle relay. The event is free to watch. There will, of course, be lots of great beers on tap, a whole pig roast, and football showing in the beer tent.The festivities kick off at 1:30PM.

Puzzle Making Workshop In Chelsea

Today from 12PM - 6PM, The Reaves Gallery (526 West 26th Street, 706) is hosting a puzzle making workshop. All attendees will receive a blank puzzle piece which they'll be able to decorate and contribute to The Puzzle Project -- a 5,000 piece art installation which will be displayed next year. A $10 donation is required per piece.

Big Social Holiday Market In Nolita

Now through December 23rd, the folks behind the Hester Street Fair are transforming The Open House Gallery (201 Mulberry Street) into a pop-up holiday market. Some 40 vendors will be on hand including Awkward Family Photos, Treasures and Pleasures, Brooklyn Craft, and food from the likes of Pies’n'Thighs, Luke’s Lobster, and Robicelli’s Cupcakes.

Le Parker Meridien's Annual Gingerbread House
