$1 Water Taxi Rides To The US Open

Mets and Yankees games aren't the only places you can take cheap water taxi rides these days. The US Open kicked off yesterday and the New York Water Taxi is offering $1 ferry rides out to the matches in Queens. The boats are scheduled to depart Pier 11 (at Wall Street) at 9:30AM and 5:30PM most days. All ferries will also stop at East 35th Street on the way to the US Open. The boats carry 140 passengers.

Free Levi's Curve ID Jeans In Bryant Park This Morning

This morning, Levi's invites you to stop by the Fountain Terrace in Bryant Park starting at 10AM to donate something that no longer fits (which will be given to charity) in exchange for a free pair of Levi's Curve ID jeans. The jeans are "custom fit jeans, made to fit the curve of a woman’s body" but it is New York City... so come one, come all!

Free Water Taxi Ride To Mets & Yankees Home Games

Final "Summer Streets" This Morning

The final Summer Streets takes place this morning! Park Avenue will be closed to motor vehicles from Central Park to the Brooklyn Bridge from 7AM - 1PM so bikers, pedestrians, dog walkers, and everyone else can enjoy a stroll along one of the city's busiest avenues. There will be free bike rentals, free fitness classes, crafts, and much more!

Home Brewing Contest at Union Hall

This evening at 7PM, Union Hall (702 Union Street) hosts the second in a series of quarterly home brewing contests taking place this year. Swing by and watch the competitors battle it out, as you have the chance to sample the brews for yourself and see if you agree with the judges. The event is free.

Festivites In Red Hook All Day

Summer is slipping away which means there are only a few more weeks to grab a bit at the famous Red Hook Ball Fields (open Saturday and Sundays).

If that's not enough, today is the last day for a promotion at the Ikea in Red Hook: kid's eat for free! Parents can choose any 3 kid sized items to create a free meal for their little ones.

Time Square Kiss-In This Afternoon

Today from 11AM - 2PM head over to Time Square to celebrate (and recreate!) Alfred Eisenstaedt's famous photograph of a sailor and nurse kissing after finding out that World War II had come to an end. The first 200 participating attendees will receive a complimentary Times Square sailor's cap or rose and the "Best Themed" couples of the day will win prizes too. Pucker up!
