Brighton Jubilee Festival In Brooklyn Today

More than 100,000 people head out to Brighton Beach each summer for this annual multi-block festival featuring entertainment stages, merchandise stands, rides, food and much more.

5th Annual Chihuahua Race Finals In Riverside Park

Given the recent passing of Gidget, the original Taco Bell chihuahua, we thought some of you might be interested attending the 5th Annual Chihuahua Race Finals in Riverside Park this afternoon to lift your spirits. It's time to move on, after all.

Come on down at 1PM to cheer on your favorite pooch and win prizes. This free event is open to the public and their pups, complete with a pet parade and fashion contest.

Photographic Essay of the Gowanus Closes This Weekend

The Brooklyn Public Library is currently housing a great photography exhibit that's closing this Sunday: A Photographic Essay of the Gowanus.

Almost every day for the past six years, Jose Gaytan, with his two dogs, has crisscrossed the streets and bridges near the Gowanus Canal, photographing moments of serenity, color and beauty amid the decaying postindustrial landscape. Check it out.

The original Patsy's in Harlem is celebrating its 76th birthday today by selling 90¢ steaks, 60¢ pizza pies, 1¢ sodas. The NYPD and the FDNY will also be have a pizza-eating challenge.

Woodstock Photography Exhibit @ Morrison Hotel Gallery

Final Summer Streets Takes Place Today

Today, Park Avenue will be closed to motor vehicles from Central Park to The Brooklyn Bridge for the final Summer Streets of 2009. Bikers, pedestrians, dog walkers, and everyone else will be able to enjoy a stroll along one of the city's busiest avenues.

It'll be closed down from 7AM - 1PM.

Tonight, [adult swim] Presents: The Robot Chicken on Wheels '09 Tour.
