Free Outdoor Comedy Show From 2-4 Today

Earlier this month, I was walking through Union Square and out of nowhere a comedian popped up to a microphone and started spewing some hilarious jokes. I soon learned that this was part of a free summer outdoor comedy series organized by nylaughs.org. Every weekend now through August, a lineup of standup comedians will perform in parks throughout the city.

This afternoon, Pete Lee and others will be in Tompkins Square Park from 2PM - 4PM.

Comedy not your thing? There's always the Gay Pride Parade in Manhattan and the Smith Street Fair In Brooklyn. Both take place this afternoon.
